Swimming Pool Energy Consultants Ltd (SPEC) will provide detailed recommendations for indoor and outdoor pool-related, energy efficient heating.
We will arrange initial consultation with clients to complete design development assessment.
We will commission ground survey from The British Geological Society to provide a detailed report regarding ground conditions and suitability for energy efficient heating.
SPEC will provide a comprehensive project management or installation service for energy efficient heating for new or existing indoor pools.
SPEC can arrange all associated ground preparation, although more often we work with an on-site contractor responsible for trenching the removal of spoil and making good of the site.
Submission of costed proposal to include the following:
- Deep bore piling, assuming ground conditions are as anticipated within BGC report.
- Installation of flow/return pipework alternatively ‘Slinky’ or air collector.
- Installation of insulated grouting within bore holes for geothermal and high-tech pipe-within-a-pipe insulation for all pipework.
- Complete trenching and making good.
- Supply/lay insulated flow and return pipework to plant room.
- Extend pipework to, and provision of manifolds, within plant room.
- Subject to provision of electrical services within plant room, supply and install heat pumps including connection of all pipework and controls.
- Installation of buffer tank to enable accurate control of heating.
- Provide connection into both air handling unit and pressurised water cylinder, supplied and fitted by others.
- Provide connection into underfloor heating manifolds with supply of underfloor heating manifolds by others.
- Supply/fit back-up off peak electric heating and controls.
- Complete commission of geothermal installation and provide full documentation regarding warranty and servicing.
Once clients decide to proceed, SPEC will complete full detailed working drawings, including schematics for distribution to all interested parties and will ensure all enabling works are clearly detailed for completion by others.
SPEC can be commissioned to take on responsibility for all post completion servicing to ensure long-term client satisfaction, also the provision of extended warranties.
